Robert Baxter is a photographer who captured many punk rock bands across Perth during the 70’s and 80’s, such as The Triffids, The Manikins and The Victims. Like many, he began his career unintentionally. As an art student who loved the punk rock scene, Baxter began photographing bands as they performed across Perth. He is known for his black and white photographs taken amongst the fans and musicians at venues like the Governor Broome Hotel.

Relive Perth's dynamic rock'n'roll scene of the 1970's and 80's with the photography of Robert Baxter.
