Other Material Useful For Genealogical Research

Books and serials are probably the most likely collections in which to locate biographical and genealogical references. However, the Battye Library also holds newspapers, photographs, film and video, maps, oral history interviews, ephemera and Australian Joint Copying Project microfilm, all of which can have information of interest to the genealogical researcher. Some newspapers, oral history interviews and ephemera have been indexed for biographical information, while photographs can either be found online or through a card catalogue (see Photographs of People for further details).
