John Telfer Hutton Rutherford, son of John Rutherford (1875 - 1949) who came from England in 1910 with wife Agnes (nee Hutton) and six children. In England, John Rutherford, Senior, was a Railway Signalman in North British Railways (1895 - 1910). In W.A. he developed a virgin block of land at Bruce Rock (Avon Location 16292). In 1965 John Telfer Hutton Rutherford wrote his recollections of people in the early days of Bruce Rock and Narembeen.
