Interlibrary Loans
The State Library of WA provides an interlibrary loan service for the borrowing or photocopying of material from the State Library Collection.
Individuals should contact their local WA public library to request a copy or loan of items held in our collection.
Organisations and non Public Libraries can request our material using email, fax, telephone or post.
Public Libraries must request our material through VDX.
The standard loan period is six weeks for books from the State Library general collection, and four weeks for music scores and audiovisual material. Loan periods for other materials may vary. Australian Libraries: The standard fee for books or photocopy requests up to 50 pages is A$13.20 (per item. including GST).
New Zealand Libraries: The standard fee for books or photocopy requests up to 50 pages is A$12.00 plus postage (per item, GST exempt).
Overseas Libraries: The standard fee for books is A$45.00, photocopy requests up to 50 pages is A$25.00 (per item). Costs may be higher depending on the type of item requested and the associated shipping charges.
Requests from libraries should comply wih the Australian Copyright law, Copyright Act 1968 and include the following declaration:
"Request complies with section 50 of the Copyright Act."
Copying from the collections of the State Library will be subject to copyright provisions and conservation policies.
