Guide to Materials in Languages other than English
MyLanguage is a multicultural website which provides direct access to online information in 70 languages on many subjects, such as health, education, business and sport. It includes links to search engines, web directories, governmnet websites such as Centrelink for translated factsheets in many languages, and Wikipedia, the largest multicultural encyclopaedia on the internet. This national website is a joint partnership between the state library services and aims to increase access to online information for culturally and linguistically diverse communities across Australia.

About 73,000 items in 45 languages are available through your local Western Australian public library.
The State Library aims to provide resources through public libraries in relevant community languages which recognise the cultural diversity of Western Australian society. We do this by supporting the needs of members of ethnic or linguistic groups with resources which help them maintain and develop their ancestral cultures and languages. At the same time this allows and facilitates equity of access to information regardless of culture and language, whilst maintaining the balance of the wider collection.
