Arts & Cultural Excursions (ACE) - Perth Cultural Centre

Arts Edge, in partnership with the Art Gallery of WA, WA Museum - Perth, the State Library of WA, the State Theatre Centre of WA and Black Swan State Theatre Company invite educators to explore the exciting educational opportunities in the Perth Cultural Centre. SEaK: Search Engage and Know - DIY on the Information Super Highway… 

Are you and your colleagues getting jammed on the information superhighway?  Keep a step ahead, save time and learn to search like a librarian.  This hands-on session will improve your data organisation and electronic searching skills to find the best resources for the right information.   Get on the inside track with tricks of the information finding trade including; truncation, phrase searching, exclusion and critical web-site analysis skills.
Who: K to 12 and teacher librarians

The State Library of Western Australia offers a variety of function and seminar rooms with modern facilities.  Rooms available for hire vary from seating, 12, 24, 75, to over 200 in our theatre. For further information including hire charges see the facilities website

The Library also offers a range of facilities including internet access and computers available at over 50 work stations.  Computers can be booked for up to an hour at a time.

In addition the library also has a rehearsal and practice room for solo musicians, music studio, and exhibition spaces.  Equipment available for public use includes photocopiers, printers, CDROM workstations, Micrograph readers, reader-printers and scanners, 16mm film player, LCD, TVs, VHS and DVD equipment.
