Awards
Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards
The Symphony Australia Young Performer Awards is a competition open to classical instrumentalists under 30 years of age. For the winner in each category of keyboard, string and instrumental there is a presentation of a Young Performer's Award and a cash prize. The three finalists enter the grand final and the winner becomes the Young Performer of the Year. In 2002, the Symphony Australia Young Vocalists Award will form part of the Australian Singing Competition. The prize will be cash plus concert opportunities. Toyota Golden Guitar Awards
The Awards presentations take place at a gala concert featuring "the cream of Australian country music and some of our fastest rising stars ..." in the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre in NSW. The Awards recognise and promote excellence in Australian country music, songwriting, performance and recording. Nominations for the Awards close each year on 31 October.
New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards
For ten days in May the whole town of Gore comes alive as it hosts the New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards. This event attracts country music artists from around the world . The Awards are probably the most successful annual musical event held in New Zealand.
