Film Screenings

The State Library regularly presents film screenings in the comfortable surroundings of the Alexander Library Building theatre. Screenings are hosted by the State Film and Video Library in conjunction with other organisations such as the Film and Television Institute, the International Film Theatre and the Consulate-General of Japan.

Wednesday Matinee Wednesday Matinee Screenings
The Wednesday Matinee Screenings feature films and videos from the collections held by the State Library, supplemented by the resources of ScreenSound in Canberra. Screenings are usually about 60 minutes. Films are screened in the Alexander Library Building Theatre and commence at 12.30pm. Admission to the screenings is free.
