Kindergarten Association of WA (Inc)

Prior to September 1966 this association was known as The Kindergarten Union of Western Australia (Inc). The last meeting of the association was conducted in July 1973 when the Pre-School Education Act, 1973 provided for the creation of the Pre-School Education Board.

For many children kindergarten training is most desirable as a preparation for the inevitable adjustment required of a child when it enters the larger community of the school.  The work performed by the centres conducted by the Kindergarten Union of W.A. over the past fifty years has provided in this way a valuable preparation for the educational programmes of the schools.
Western Australia is grateful to those who have assisted in this fine work.
