This one-day symposium will bring together leading historians to explore the life and legacies of Bishop Hale (1811–1895). Through reconsidering the historical role and legacies of Hale, this event will contribute to a general and scholarly knowledge of this key figure in the history of Australia.

Speakers include Peggy Brock, Norman Etherington, Rowan Strong, Michael Challen, Odhran O’Brien, Jane Lydon, Karen Hughes and Lyn Lovegrove-Neimz.
