Welcome to the State Library. We offer a range of tours and programs to help you explore the building and our collections. All tours and programs are free.

Make Yourself at Home tours

Make yourself at home at the State Library and be inspired by our collections, programs and exhibitions. Discover just what we have to offer and how it all comes together to tell the story of our State.
The tour lasts about 50 - 60 minutes, walking through each floor of the library. It finishes at the JS Battye Library of West Australian History to view some treasures.

Dates for future tours are currently being organised.

Your Library Online

This hour and a half session will improve your search skills and help you become familiar with the enormous amount and variety of online resources you can access for free using your State Library card.

Dates for sessions are being planned.

If you'd like to come along to a tour or session, please email to tell us which day you are coming, and how many people will be attending.

Groups are also welcome to arrange tours on demand. Tours are available between 9.30am and 4.00pm and we would prefer a minimum of two weeks notice.
