Inspired by Real Life

Authors and illustrators draw inspiration from real life. Some illustrations are meticulously planned by investigating and studying real-world events. 

There are tales of great whale rescues, unsung heroes, migrant journeys, and folk stories relating to ANZAC legends. Stories of human triumph, sacrifice and what can be accomplished when we work together. There are also sobering stories of unjust treatment, children taken away from their families, and experiences of racism.
