Archives

There are many archives outside of the State Records Office which will contain information on Western Australian people. The Western Australian Branch of the National Archives of Australia, for example, holds the records of Commonwealth departmental offices in Western Australia, of which the most important to the genealogist would be the Department of Immigration. Most of the main religions in Western Australia maintain archives, as do some businesses, hospitals, schools and universities.
