This microfiche index, compiled by Rosemary Downing, lists railway employees noted in various WAGR employment registers held by the State Records Office (see AN 260 for list) 1879-1905. It provides the name of the employee, date first employed, age or birth date, position held, where located and date record goes to. It also provides a reference to the accession number, volume and page from which the entry is taken. This index can be used in conjunction with other railway employment records described under Railway Employees in the Government Archival Records section.
