Intestacy

People who died and left property or assets, but who did not have a will leaving said property and assets to anyone, were said to have died intestate. In such cases the courts would determine what happened to any property or assets.

  Provides name and age of deceased, last place of residence, occupation, place and cause of death, country, marital status, if had will or not, details of next of kin, particulars and valuation of deceased's property, who paid and cost of funeral.
• AU WA S2323 cons5795: Supreme Court of Western Australia – Public Trustee. Intestate Files 1877-1920
  These files often contain property valuations and copies of death certificates.
